Summary: An equation \[ d/dt(\Phi(t, x')) + f(t, x) = 0 \] is considered together with the boundary conditions \[ \Phi(a, x' (a)) = 0,\;x(b) = 0. \] Under appropriate conditions, this problem can be reduced to a quasilinear problem for a two-dimensional differential system. Conditions for the existence of multiple solutions to the original problem are obtained by applying the quasilinearization technique.
