The author considers the mixed problem for hyperbolic regularization of nonlinear conservation laws in the \((n+1)\)-dimensional half-space with insufficient Dirichlet boundary conditions. The consideration is focused on existence of a projection of non-equilibrium variables via the conservative ones that therefore closes the problem. Existence of the unique projection for the Boltzmann-Peierls kinetic equation is proven.
