In 1995, \textit{J. Berndt} et al. [Geom. Dedicata 56, No. 3, 237--247 (1995; Zbl 0842.53015)] characterized Hopf hypersurfaces in \(S^6(1)\) as open parts of totally geodesic hypersphere or of tubes around almost complex curves of \(S^6(1)\). In the present paper, the authors characterize the tubes around almost complex curves of different types among all Hopf hypersurfaces. Some properties of almost complex curves and Hopf hypersurfaces in \(S^6(1)\) are also obtained. The paper is well written.
