This paper is concerned with the finite difference schemes for the heat equation subject to nonlocal boundary conditions. It is well known that the approximating finite difference scheme is not stable under the perturbations of the initial data. The authors introduce the notion of stability on subspaces and study this concept by deriving various estimates in terms of Hilbert norms.
