On generalizations of partition theorems of Schur and Andrews to overpartitions (Q486594)

In the first part of the paper the author presents three new proofs of ``Schur's theorem for overpartitions''. These proofs use recurrences and generating functions. In [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 19, 441--444 (1968; Zbl 0155.37004); Am. J. Math. 91, 18--24 (1969; Zbl 0186.30203)], \textit{G. E. Andrews} generalized Schur's partition theorem. In the second part of the paper two theorems are presented that provide a first step towards the generalization of Andrews' theorems to overpartitions. The proofs of these theorems also use recurrences.
