A texturing of an arbitrary set \(S\) is a point-separating, complete, completely distributive lattice \((\mathbb{S}\subseteq) \subseteq \mathcal{P}(S)\) which contains \(S\) and \(\emptyset\) and for which arbitrary meets coincide with intersections, and finite joins with unions. The pair \((S,\mathbb{S})\) is called a texture (see, e.g., \textit{L. M. Brown} and \textit{M. Diker} [Fuzzy Sets Syst. 98, No. 2, 217--224 (1998; Zbl 0930.54006)]). The authors study selection principles in texture and ditopological texture spaces and their relations with other covering properties. Some connections with the game theory are outlined.
