The author analyzes various schemes of closely spaced particles interaction with different field intensity between the particles. It is noted that the basic difficulty in using both strict surface and volume methods is associated with the classical scheme of particle interaction -- via scattered fields. A new scheme is proposed in which the nonlocal influence of particles occurs via relations between internal fields. The author demonstrates that plasmonic effects for particles spaced several Angstrom apart can be successfully studied by applying the discrete sources method with the nonlocal influence taken into account.
