Preceded by an 88 page long introduction, including a section on the extant manuscripts, by Micheline Decorps-Foulquier, this is the first French translation of Eutocius's commentary on Books I--IV of Apollonius' \textit{Conics}, side by side with the Greek text. Eutocius offers, among other things, reasons why certain restrictions (such as dimensional ones) are imposed, alternate proofs, completions of proofs left as being ``analogous'' unproved by Apollonius. The translation, by Michel Federpsiel, is exquisite. This will likely be the standard edition in any language.
