The authors study period functions of cusp forms of real weight and for this purpose, they investigate morphisms between Eichler-Shimura cohomology groups induced from multiplication by a modular form. The main result allows to prove the well-known Haberland formula for the case of real weight and to study special type functions -- quantum modular forms.
