In the work under review, the restriction of a monotone operator to the cone of nonnegative decreasing functions on a weighted Orlicz space is studied. A specially constructed discretization procedure is used to obtain a sharp two-sided estimate of the norm of such a restriction. Similar estimates are obtained for monotone operators over other Orlicz-Lorentz spaces, and applications are presented.
