    The authors develop a theory of bright incoherent photovoltaic solitons in self-defocusing materials using the coherent density approach. The procedure is based on a set of coupled nonlinear Schrödinger-like equations which is numerically solved to model soliton formation in a LiNbO\(_3\):Fe crystal. The obtained simulation results are shown to be in good agreement with experimental data.
