The main result of the paper under review is a classification of the simple regular polyhedral BP-complexes. These are 2-dimensional homogeneous locally finite cell complexes equipped with piecewise linear metrics satisfying some additional conditions as defined in the paper, of which the surfaces of Platonic solids are special instances.
