This work is devoted to the convergence analysis of Steffensen's method for non-differentiable operator equations in Banach spaces. The focus is on the local and semilocal convergence under general conditions when the solution is assumed to be locally unique. Numerical examples involving nonlinear integral equations of mixed Hammerstein type are provided to illustrate the theory.
