The article is an analysis of how quantum phase transitions are affected by the presence of fermions in a system of \(N\) bosons. One first introduces the Hamiltonian model, on which one carries out classical analysis techniques which provide new results for a single particle in a deformed field. Then one once more considers the same problem, but with a quantal analysis. It is shown that the presence of fermion is of importance in the location and the nature of the phase transition.
