Motivated by the bimeromorphic classification of compact Kähler manifolds and the study of universal coverings, the author extends known results to the fundamental groups of Kähler geometric orbifolds; specifically, the results mentioned above concern Green-Lazarsfeld sets and solvable quotients of Kähler groups.
