A recent refinement of the classical discrete Jensen inequality was given by Horváth and Pečarić. The authors continue the work of their recent paper [``A refinement of the discrete Jensen's inequality'', Math. Inequal. Appl. (to appear)]. Here, the corresponding weighted mixed symmetric means and Cauchy-type means are defined. Also, they investigate the exponential convexity of some functions, study mean-value theorems and prove the monotonicity of the defined means.
