This paper is concerned with a numerical method to solve topology optimization.The authors propose a sequential linear programming (SLP) method for nonlinear programming and apply it to solve topology optimization as well as the design of compliant mechanisms. The global convergence of algorithms is derived and the numerical results are presented.
