Summary: We improve the viscosity approximation process for approximation of a fixed point of a quasi-nonexpansive mapping in a Hilbert space proposed by \textit{P.-E. Maingé} [Comput. Math. Appl. 59, No.~1, 74--79 (2010; Zbl 1189.49011)]. An example beyond the scope of the previously known result is given.
