    Verf. bringt einen neuen, mehr geometrischen Beweis für folgenden bekannten Satz: \[ f(x,y,z,p,q)=0 \] sei eine nichlineare partielle Differentialgleichung, \(f_1\) und \(f_2\) seien zwei unabhängige Funktionen, die mit \(f\) in Involution liegen. Eliminiert man \(p\) un \(q\) aus den drei Gleichungen \[ f=0, f_1=\text{ const}, f_2=\text{ const}, \] so ist die erhaltene Fläche dann und nur dann Lösungsfläche der Differentialgleichung, wenn \(f_1\) und \(f_2\) in Involution liegen.
