Gegeben sind \(n\) Merkmalspaare \((x_i, y_i)\). Mittels besonderer Operatoren führt Verf. bestimmt symmetrische ganze Funktionen dieser Veränderlichen auf die spezielleren Ausdrücke \(s_{h, k} = \sum _{i=1}^n x_i^h y_i^k\) zurück. Schließlich läst er \(n \rightarrow \infty \) gehen, wodurch sich Integralformeln ergeben.
