Während gewöhnlich bei der Berechnung der Rekombination von Ionen in Gasen vereinfachte Modelle exakt mathematisch behandelt wurden, wendet Verf. eine allgemeine, von einem speziellen Modell unabhängige Methode an, die durchweg aus Plausibilitätsbetrachtungen und Näherungsmethoden besteht.
