Sind \(A, B\) quadratische Matrizen mit je \(n\) Zeilen, so haben \(AB\) und \(B A\) bekanntlich dieselbe charakteristische Gleichung. Ausdehnung auf Produkte von \( m\) Matrizen; der Satz gilt für die zyklischen Permutationen der \(m\) Faktoren.
