    Durch Betrachtung der Primfaktoren der Zahlenfolge \[ Q_n = \frac{a^{p^n} - b^{p^n}}{a-b} \qquad (n = 1, 2, \dots), \] wo \(p\) eine Primzahl und \(a, b\) teilerfremde ganze rationale Zahlen sind, wird auf elementarem Wege die Existenz unendlich vieler Primzahlen \(r \equiv 1\) (mod \(p^m\)) bewiesen. Es wird eine Reihe weiterer spezieller unzusammenhängender Betrachtungen über Beziehungen der so gewonnenen Primzahlen \(r\) zu \(p\) angeschlossen.
