Die Ergebnisse einer früheren Arbeit des Verf. (1930; JFM 56.0263.*) werden unter geringeren Voraussetzungen über den Bereichrand hergeleitet. Das hängt mit der Verwendung eines \textit{Markoff}schen Satzes zusammen, für den folgende Verallgemeinerung gegeben wird: Ist \(P_n(z)\) ein Polynom \(n\)-ten Grades, und ist \(|P_n(z)| \leqq L\) auf einem Kreisbogen \(C\), so ist \(|P_n'(z)|\leqq Kn^2L\) auf \(C\). \(K\) ist eine Konstante, die nur von Radius und Länge von \(C\) abhängt. Ist \(C\) gerade, so hat man den alten \textit{Markoff}schen Satz. Auch für etwas allgemeinere Kurvenbögen wird ein analoger Satz gewonnen.
