The paper deals with the solution of finite difference boundary value problems being connected with Poisson's equation in plane domains. The author proposes an iteration method based on a division of the considered domain into subdomains and the solution of Poisson's equation on each subdomain. The convergence speed is analyzed and, especially, in the case when this speed does not depend on the mesh of the used mesh. Due to the author, the exposed method could be generalized to three-dimensional problems.
