The paper is concerned with the equation \[ \omega^ 2\rho (x)u+(\sigma^{-1}(x)u_ x)_ x=0,\quad x>0, \] where \(\rho\) and \(\sigma\) are random functions. For several different models of \(\rho\) and \(\sigma\) it is studied how the Lyapunov index of the solution u(x) depends on the frequency \(\omega\).
