This paper constitutes an alternative of the contrast model of similarity due to \textit{A. Tversky} [``Features of similarity''. Psychol. Review 84, No.4, 327-352 (1977)] which conceives similarity as a function of shared and distinctive features of the objects. An additive version of Tversky's model, an axiomatization and a representation theorem are proposed.
