Means with values in a Banach lattice (Q580624)

The authors consider means on \(\ell_{\infty}(S)\) (the space of all bounded functions on a semigroup S) with values in (order complete) Banach lattices and generalize some known results on left invariant means in the classical case to this more general situation. (Abelian semigroups are left amenable, \(S\times T\) is left amenable if S and T are left amenable, right stationary semigroups are left amenable.)
