A metric compound structure of rank r is a structure defined by the induced structure on a real submanifold of an almost Hermitian manifold. In this paper the case \(r=2\) is considered in a Kähler manifold. Submanifolds with compound structure are classified under some suitable conditions. They are standard spheres or neither Einsteinian nor conformally flat.
