The second author has found [Ann. Inst. Henri Poincaré, Nouv. Sér., Sect. A 40, 235-271 (1984; Zbl 0575.53046)] a general class of spherically symmetric metrics (non-static, with sources). Here the conjecture that his methods induce a conformal symmetry is investigated and partially answered.
