This continues the author's earlier paper [ibid. 18, 923-930 (1986; Zbl 0599.53053)] and is motivated by the fact that the background metric of the second version of Rosen's theory, constant curvature, is obtained by a conformal transformation of the first one. Now general conformal transformations are allowed and some rather complex results are found about the conservation law.
