Asymptotic partition of the total energy in the context of the initial boundary problems of the linear thermoelasticity with the second sound is considered. After establishing some Lagrange-Brun type identities, Cesàro means of energy are introduced, and asymptotic behavior of the means is discussed. The dissipative mechanism of the system of hyperbolic equations with dissipation obtained enables the author to prove that the equipartition of energy takes place between the kinetic and the strain energies.
