\textit{R. Wille} [Algebra Univers. 3, 131--138 (1973; Zbl 0295.06008)] showed that the modular lattice freely generated by two elements and a finite chain is a subdirect product of 2- and 5-element lattices. Also, he described the structure determining the scaffolding. In the paper under review the structure is analyzed in more detail to provide methods for drawing the diagram and to actually determine the cardinality by means of reasonable recursion.
