Let X be a compact topological space, f: \(X\to X\) a continuous map. Then \(ent(f)=ent(f| \Omega (f))\), where ent denotes the topological entropy and \(\Omega\) (f) is the nonwandering set of f. It is a generalization of the well-known theorem of Bowen which was established for the compact metric spaces.
