The authors study the relationship between the classical and nilpotent descriptions of the cohomology ring of the Grassmann manifold \(G_ k(n)\). They prove that the Plücker coordinates form a basis for the nilpotent description of \(H^*(G_ k(n),{\mathbb{C}})\) which is dual to the basis of Schubert cycles.
