Optimization and interpolation studies are two important areas of fertile research. In this report the author discusses a problem of optimal interpolation on a special function class. Three interesting theorems and three lemmas are given. The method employed is to approximate the relevant kernel by a generalized kind relating to the ordinary differential operators with real characteristic roots. An example also is provided.
