The author proves some elementary results about modules of finite Goldie dimension and their injective hulls. For example Theorem 3.2 shows in effect that if M is a torsion-free module of finite Goldie dimension n over a right Ore domain R then the injective hull E(M) of M is isomorphic to the direct sum of n copies of E(R).
