The author extends a result of \textit{P. N. Stewart} [Acta Math. Acad. Sci. Hung. 38, 231-235 (1981; Zbl 0482.16028)] to abstract affine near-rings, namely that a quasi-ideal of an abstract affine near-ring is minimal if and only if any two of its non-zero elements generate the same left ideal and the same right ideal. An example is given to show that the result does not hold for arbitrary near-rings.
