4000 years of algebra. History, cultures, people (Q5891305)

The first edition was published in 2003 (see [Zbl 1029.01002]); now, ten years later, the second edition appeared, which was updated and enlarged. The structure and the contents are the same as in the first edition, but there is a new Chapter 10.5 on `Computer algebra in the year 2013', with 3 subchapters and 5 subsubchapters. This new chapter, 11 pages long, was written by Bettina Eick.
