In the paper under review the following theorem is proved: Let X be compact Hausdorff space and let \(G\subset C(X,X)\) be a group under the composition of mappings as the product and suppose that the elements of G are equicontinuous at every point of X. Then there exists a compact Hausdorff space Y and a linear G-invariant mapping from C(X) onto C(Y).
