This book is intended to be a brief but sufficiently detailed primer on LHC physics. It is divided into three distinct parts: The first part focuses on Higgs physics and collider searches. Starting with the most minimalistic and not renormalizable models describing massive gauge bosons, the author proceeds to discuss to the usual fundamental Higgs scalar. At the end of this part the usual set of ATLAS or CMS graphs are given. In the next part, the QCD part, the theory which describes Higgs production and everything else at the LHC are described. The DGLAP equation is derived. The stress is on the Drell-Yan process. The third and final part contains a discussion on LHC phenomenology. Here jet algorithms, helicity amplitudes, missing transverse energy etc are covered. The book ends with a list of references for further reading.
