The author deals with the determination of statically admissible stress fields in case of a limit Poisson ratio corresponding to the theory of ideal plasticity. The extrema are sought in conformity with Castigliano's principle for incompressible media. The interrelation of two different sets of statically admissible stresses is established for the case of mixed boundary conditions; the possibility of its utilization is put into evidence.
