On the sphere let \(\delta\) be the least angle at which two circles of an n-tuple of great circles intersect, and let \(\delta_ n\) be the maximum of \(\delta\) extended over all such n-tuples. Let analogously \(\Delta_ n\) be the maximum of all least angles determined in the Euclidean plane by n-tuples of pairwise intersecting circles. The author asks: Is \(\Delta_ n\) equal to \(\delta_ n\) for any \(n>1?\) Related problems are discussed as well.
