The authors present in their paper a construction for a Hilbert-Schmidt operator K of arbitrarily small Hilbert-Schmidt norm associated with a given hermitian operator A such that \(A+K\) has pure point spectrum. Since part of the proof (density of a set of vectors) was not checked, the generality of the original result must be reduced.
