The article informs about the following results: a) An nth Peano derivative (infinite values are allowed) is a function of Baire class one; b) A finite unilateral nth Peano derivative is a function of Baire class one; c) If infinite values are allowed a unilateral nth Peano derivative need not be of Baire class one. Mentioned results were also published with proofs [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 99, 129-134 (1987)].
