Closed form wave potentials in two superposed fluids are obtained for a line source and a point source inside the fluid. The fluid layers are of finite depth and are bounded by rigid horizontal planes and the horizontal interface plane. The harmonic velocity potentials satisfy the linear interfacial conditions and the boundary conditions. These potentials approach the line/point source singularity at the source location, satisfy the boundary and interface conditions and the radiation condition at infinity. The problem is relevant to the generation of interfacial wave or surface wave from time harmonic singular sources inside the fluids. The latter case is obtained as a degenerate case when the parameter for the density ratio vanishes.
