The author proves the existence of a solution for a class of nonlinear variational inequalities related with mildly nonlinear constrained elliptic problems using his previously developed fixed point technique [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 126, 78-84 (1987; Zbl 0645.49004)].This approach enables the author to suggest and analyze a general algorithm for these variational inequalities.
