Summary: We consider the ``Carter conjecture'', that any stable liquid bridge in zero gravity, joining two parallel plates separated by a distance \(h\) and meeting each plate with constant angle, has volume greater than or equal to \(h^ 3/\pi\). We prove the conjecture in the case of the two contact angles being equal.
