This is the fourth edition of an introductory German textbook on linear control theory for engineering students. For a description of the contents and an overall assessment of the book I refer to my review of the third edition (2001; Zbl 0981.93001) [for reviews of the first two editions see (1996; Zbl 0867.93002) and (1999; Zbl 0940.93001)]. Compared to the third edition, the major changes are an update to MATLAB 6.5 and a new appendix (Anhang 4) consisting of 5 projects for students. These projects offer problem descriptions for control problems for whose solution the whole methodology ranging from modeling to the final controller design is needed.
