The book presents a thorough exposition of the main concepts of computational intelligence. It is divided into four parts, neural networks, evolutionary algorithms, fuzzy systems and Bayesian networks, that are very well covered. The book is self-contained, all the necessary notions for understanding the concepts are included. Moreover, the four parts are independent, the reader may study only one part without needing to read another part in order to understand the notions. The book has plenty of examples that make the understanding of the concepts easier, contains high-quality figures that present various problems, representations or results obtained from different simulations, and many algorithms written in pseudocode. Each chapter has its separate bibliography section. It is an interesting book that may serve very well a wide audience, providing material for researchers, students as well as people working in industry.
